Holy Ascension churchyard contains three separate burial areas, known as the "Ancient", "Old" and "New" Grounds. (There is an adjacent "Civic" cemetery to the north, and a smaller raised area for interment of ashes to the east of the New Ground, both of which came into service in 1999 and are administered and maintained by Settle Town Council. They are not included in these records.)

Many of these on-line records include additional information compiled as part of the 'Settle Graveyard Project', by Sarah Lister and Settle District U3A - Family History Group.
